How do you play 9Daily?

1. 1

   Aim

   In 9Daily you tap the map where you want the ball to go. The club that gets there is picked for you. Switch clubs for more or less distance.

2. 2

   Hit

   In 9Daily you press and hold when the arrow points at your target. The ring around the ball fills, faster and faster. Let go right at the rim for a full shot, or at the yellow mark to land on your spot. Past the rim the ball hooks or slices.

3. 3

   Putt

   On a 9Daily green the ball rolls out, so land it short of the flag. Then the rings count: inside the inner ring is one putt, the outer ring two, otherwise three. A ball rolling slowly over the cup drops in.

What is on a 9Daily course?

Holes

9Daily holes are par 3 to par 5, and now and then a par 6 or even a par 7. Longer holes often bend as doglegs with trees in the corner. Every course gets a name, like Heron Bay · Dunes.

Course types

Every 9Daily course has its own character: open links with wind and pot bunkers, a coast, woods, parkland, lakes, heath or a sheltered valley. The week has a rhythm too: Mondays play gentler, Saturdays harder.

Wind

Every day in 9Daily has its weather, from calm to stormy. Into the wind the ball flies shorter, from the side it drifts. Inside a dashed gust zone the wind blows harder. Tips: how to play wind and doglegs.

Trees

In 9Daily the ball flies through the leaves but slows down. Now and then a branch knocks it off line.

Rough and bunkers

In 9Daily the ball flies shorter from the rough and the timing gets tighter, from a bunker even more so.

Water and out of bounds

Water and out of bounds cost one penalty stroke in 9Daily. From the water you drop, out of bounds you replay from the same spot. At double par you pick up.
