Nine squares, one round.

After your round 9Daily lets you share your score as one short message: a line with your score, nine colored squares and a link. Here is how to read it.
What does a shared 9Daily result look like?

What do the colored squares mean in 9Daily?
Every square in a 9Daily result is one hole, from hole 1 on the left to hole 9 on the right. The color says how that hole went compared with par. Unsure what par, birdie or bogey mean? See golf terms explained.

What do the numbers in a 9Daily result mean?

- The 9Daily round number. Round 1 was played on 25 September 2026, and the number goes up by one every day.

- Your strokes for all nine holes, penalty strokes included.

- Your score to par: one over. E means even, −2 two under.

- The name of the day’s course. The second part is its course type.

- Opens your card on 9daily.golf.
What do friends see when they open a 9Daily link?
A shared 9Daily link opens your card: your name, your score and every hole. On the same day it asks whether they can beat you on the same nine holes, with a button to play. On a later day it points them to that day’s new course.
In a messenger the link preview reads like this: Alex shot 37 (+1) · 9Daily round 5. The name is the one on your card, a random name like Swift Birdie 42 if you play as a guest.
How do you share your 9Daily result?
- After your round
- Tap Share result on your card.
- Later that day
- Home shows Your card today with a Share button.
- On a phone browser
- 9Daily shares your card as a picture together with the text, wherever the browser can share pictures.
- In the app and elsewhere
- 9Daily opens the share menu with the text, or copies it when there is no share menu.
Quick answers
Do the squares give away the 9Daily course?
No. The squares only show how each hole went compared with par, not where the holes go or where the trouble is, so nobody gets spoiled.
Why is a hole I picked up red?
In 9Daily a hole ends at double par and counts as double par. That is a double bogey or worse, so it shows as 🟥.
What does #5 mean in a 9Daily result?
It is the round number. Round 1 was played on 25 September 2026, and the number goes up by one every day, the same for everyone.
