Nine holes with the morning coffee.

Updated · by the 9Daily team, Berlin

Remote teams miss the small moments. A 9Daily league gives yours one every day: the same nine holes for everyone, scores to compare and a winner each week.

Why does a daily game work for remote teams?

A daily 9Daily round gives a team something small to talk about every day. Everyone plays the same course, so a birdie on hole 7 means the same for everyone. Only one round a day counts, so nobody has to block an afternoon.

How do you set up 9Daily for a team?

1. Accounts
Everyone who wants to be ranked creates a free 9Daily account (Apple, Google or email).
2. New league
One person taps New league on the Board or the Friends page and names it after the team.
3. Share the link
Post the link in the team channel. Anyone with it can join, up to 50 people.

How do you share 9Daily results in Slack or Teams?

After the round, Share result in 9Daily copies or shares a short message: the score, nine colored squares, the course name and a link. Paste it into the team channel. The squares show how the round went without spoiling the course. What they mean: the nine squares explained.

What about colleagues in other time zones?

Every 9Daily player plays their own calendar day: the new course arrives at midnight local time. Colleagues far apart can be on different days for a few hours; the league compares everyone on the same date’s course.
