In 9Daily you never line up a putt. Where your ball stops on the green decides how many putts you need. Here is how to get it close.
How does putting work in 9Daily?
Putting in 9Daily is counted, not played. When your ball comes to rest on the green, 9Daily counts the putts from where it stopped: inside the inner ring is one putt, inside the outer ring two, anywhere else on the green three. How far does the ball roll out on a 9Daily green?
A full shot in 9Daily rolls out after it lands on the green: short clubs stop sooner, long clubs run on. The dots after the landing circle on the map show the expected roll, so land the ball short of the flag. The club picked for you plans to stop about 1 m short of the flag; to go for the hole, aim closer yourself.

Does a chip roll out too?
Yes. A shorter swing with a 9Daily wedge still rolls out at least 80 percent as far as a full one, because a chip has less spin. A clean strike rolls exactly as far as the dots on the map show.
When does the ball drop in by itself in 9Daily?
A 9Daily ball that rolls over the cup, or passes within 0.4 m of it, drops in if it is not too fast. Right over the middle it may still have some speed; towards the edge of the cup it has to be almost stopped. A ball that stops short was never going in. What happens on a chip-in or a hole in one?
When a shot in 9Daily is going in, the last metres play in slow motion and the camera moves close to ball and hole. A chip-in is quiet: the music falls away, the ball clicks in, then a warm chord. A hole in one or an albatross gets the full celebration.
